Karnataka NEET UG Counselling Process 2024-25
Step 1 – Registration & Application Process
To be eligible for Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2024, candidates must first register online. The registration involves filling out personal, academic, and contact details, along with uploading necessary documents. Candidates must also pay a counselling registration fee, which is usually done through online payment methods.
KEA will reopen the application process in the next 2-3 days, allowing candidates who missed the initial deadline to complete their registration. Candidates are advised to stay updated with official announcements to avoid missing this opportunity.
Step 2 – Physical Verification of Documents
- All Karnataka Candidates shall freshly apply and need to physically verify their documents as per specified date.
- Candidates claiming NRI/Linguistic Minority/Muslim Minority/Reserved Category need to verify documents at KEA
- Candidates claiming minority seats at St John's need to verify document at St John's Medical College Bangalore
- Non-Karnataka candidates who are going to claim minority/NRI seats need to verify their documents at KEA as per given schedule. Rest all Non-Karnataka candidates need not have to physically verify their documents.
Step 3 – Download the Verification Slip
All candidates, including those from the general category, must download their verification slip from the KEA website. This slip confirms that the candidate's documents have been successfully verified and they are eligible to proceed to the next steps.
Step 4 – Choice Filling
The choice filling window allows candidates to select and prioritize the medical college they are interested in. Once choices are finalized, they must be locked in before the deadline. It is crucial for candidates to carefully consider their options, as once choices are locked, they cannot be altered.
The entire process, from the reopening of applications to document verification, is expected to take about a week to 10 days. The first round of choice filling is not expected to begin before August 14th.
Step 5 – Allotment
The seat allotment will occur after August 23rd, following the declaration of the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) Round 1 results. The allotment process involves assigning seats to candidates based on their NEET UG scores, category, and the choices they have filled.
After receiving a seat allotment, student is required to pay the applicable fees and confirm their seat. Thereafter, student shall report to the allotted college.
If seats remain vacant after the first round, subsequent rounds of counselling may be conducted. Candidates who did not receive a seat in the initial round or wish to upgrade their seat can participate in these rounds.
