The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, also known as BCECE, is a national body that conducts the NEET MBBS Counseling for Medical and Dental programs in Bihar. This counseling process includes three rounds: Round 1, Round 2, and the Mopup round or spot round, which are conducted online, and offline respectively.
The Mopup round is also known as the College level Spot Round or Stray round. The counseling process is for 85% Government and 100% Private Medical and Dental seats, offered by 10 Government and 6 Private Medical Colleges in Bihar, totaling 1875 MBBS seats.
To participate in the counseling process, students must qualify for the NEET exam and then register themselves on the official website www.bcece admission.nic.in, by paying a registration fee of Rs. 1200 for General/BC/EBC, and Rs. 600 for SC/ST/DQ, as declared by the authority.
If NRI seats remain vacant during the Mop-up round, they will be converted to Private seats.
To have a better assessment and increase your chances of getting admission through Bihar NEET UG Counseling, here are a few things you should keep in mind:
Government seat: This refers to a seat that is offered in a government medical/dental college in Bihar. However, only domicile candidates are eligible to apply for these seats.

To participate in the Mop-up round, everyone needs to apply again, including those who have previously applied but did not get a seat in the earlier rounds.
After the result is declared, you have three options to choose from.

Bihar has emerged as a cost-effective alternative for students who wish to pursue medical education. There has been a significant surge in demand from students in states like West Bengal, UP, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Haryana. The medical colleges in Bihar, such as Katihar Medical College, Mata Gujri Medical College, and Narayana Medical College, are performing well and expanding their reach.
In the NEET 2020 counseling for Bihar, the cut-off for government colleges was slightly higher compared to the previous year. Out of the 10,310 students who had applied for 2,247 MBBS and BDS seats, an average of 4 students competed for a single seat.
Interestingly, it was observed that it was easier to secure a seat in a private medical college in Bihar during the Mop-up round than in Round 1. Therefore, we would like to advise medical aspirants that every state has its own advantages and disadvantages. By verifying all the details, one can still have a chance of securing a seat at a low cost. For students with scores ranging from 450 to 500 and a budget of 55-60 Lacs, Bihar can be a good option if they are unable to secure a seat in their preferred state.
Medical Admission is a complex process and needs a great amount of pre-planning and a professional approach which can match RIGHT FIT FOR RIGHT STUDENTS.
