Affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) was established in 2006, and since then, it has made a name for itself in the field of MBBS.  CIMS offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medical sciences. 

The campus of CIMS is well-equipped with modern infrastructure and facilities. It houses spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a library, hostels for students, and other necessary amenities. The institute also has its own teaching hospital, which provides comprehensive healthcare services to the public, and knowledge and experience to the students. 

The admission process for the MBBS course at CIMS is conducted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The selection of candidates is based on their NEET scores and counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
