Yenepoya Medical College Mangalore
In 1999, the Islamic Academy of Education established Yenepoya Medical College. Due to its reputation for providing top-notch medical education, it is one of the top universities.
The affiliated college of YMC Mangalore is Rajib Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Banglore. Yenepoya Medical College is one of the deemed colleges, which was ranked at 86 number out of 100 colleges in the country, as per the NIRF ranking 2020.
Yenepoya Medical College offers general and special healthcare. The medical college has a state of art ultra-modern hospital and caters to the healthcare needs of the regions of Dakshina.
Since the establishment of the medical college, its intake capacity of MBBS students was 100, but over the time National Medical Council (NMC) permitted the college to admit 150 students in MBBS Course with effect from Academic Year 2011.
The admission process depends upon performance in the NEET exam. Since 2009, the College has started a number of PG Diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various medical disciplines.
