Types of NEET UG Counselling 2024

NEET UG Counselling 2024 consists primarily of two types: 

  1. All India Counselling
  2. State Counselling

All India Counselling, conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), specify the allocation of 15% of seats in government medical and dental colleges across India (excluding Jammu & Kashmir) under the All-India Quota (AIQ).

It also includes 100% of seats in central universities, deemed universities, ESIC medical colleges, and the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC). 

All India Counselling is open to all NEET-qualified candidates, regardless of their state of domicile. The process involves online registration, choice filling, and multiple rounds of seat allotment. Candidates must complete document verification and reporting to the allotted college to secure admission.

State Counselling, on the other hand, is managed by the respective state counselling authorities and covers 85% of state quota seats in government colleges and seats in private medical and dental colleges within the state. 

State Counselling is generally limited to candidates with domicile status in the respective state, although some states allow non-domicile candidates, particularly for private colleges.

MCC Counselling Process 2024-25
