Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission in KJSCE Mumbai

The necessary conditions required to fullfill in order to apply for Direct Admission in KJ Somaiya College of Engineering Mumbai are as follows:-

1.  Residency Requirement:

•    Candidates must be residents of Maharashtra, including those belonging to the Gujarati Linguistic Minority (as per GR on Minority).

•    Other residents of Maharashtra are also eligible.

2.  Educational Qualification:

•    Applicants must have passed HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) or an equivalent examination from India.

•    Minimum Marks: A minimum aggregate of 45% in the above subjects.

•    PERA-CET

•    SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)

KJ Somaiya College of Engineering welcomes applications from Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and international students. 

To be eligible, candidates must have passed HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one additional subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational subjects, securing a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in these subjects. 

Additionally, applicants must have appeared for at least one of the following entrance exams and obtained a non-zero score: Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) 2023/2024, JEE-Main 2024 (Session 1 & 2), Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2024, MHT-CET 2024, or PERA-CET 2024. Admission is also subject to any additional criteria specified by Somaiya Vidyavihar University.

•    PIO (OCI) card copy (In case if the candidate is admitted under PIO(OCI) category).

•    Gap Certificate/ Affidavit (if HSC passed before prior to Academic Year 2024-25).

•    Medical fitness certificate also indicating the blood group issued by registered medical practitioner.
