Climate 

During the summer, Dnepropetrovsk is very warm (average day temperature in July is 24 to 28 °C (75 to 82 °F), even hot sometimes 32 to 36 °C (90 to 97 °F). Temperatures as high as 36 °C (97 °F) have been recorded in May.Winter is not so cold (average day temperature in January is −4 to 0 °C (25 to 32 °F), but when there is no snow and the wind blows hard, it feels extremely cold.

A mix of snow and rain happens usually in December.

    • Institute acquired the status of State Academy in 1920 and it was confirmed again Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) in Ukraine in 1994 by the order of the Cabinet of  Ministers of Ukraine № 224 dated 20 April 1994.
    • Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) is one of the oldest higher educational institutions of Ukraine having 4th (the highest) level of accreditation among all universities of Ukraine.
    • Foundation and the establishment of the Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) was led by eminent scientists with world-known names, such as VP Karpov etc
    • In 1922 the Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) organized and edited two scientific  medical journals: “Ekaterynoslavsky Medical Journal” and “New Surgical Archive”.
    • The Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) long experience in training of foreign  specialists, highly qualified teaching staff and modern facilities all guarantee high level of    theoretical and practical training to the students of the University.

How is Medical Education or MD or MBBS in Ukraine?

Medical Education or MBBS in the Ukraine is one of the BEST in the World. What are the admission requirements and my eligibility criteria for MBBS?

For undergraduate Medical program (MBBS or MD), class 12 or HSSC with min. 50% Marks in with Subjects in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in class 11 and 12. What is the total duration of this course?

The total duration of the Medical, MD or MBBS course is 4 year and 10 months for students who have been educated till class 12 with Science. The first 10 months is a Bachelors program and focuses on building foundation for a strong medical education. The next 4 years is the core medicine and clinical rotation. If the student is already a College graduate then the admission program takes 4 years only. Residency training is for 3 to 5 years [Similar to that of USA]..

Documents required for the admissions?

For Admission: Copy of your class 10 and 12 mark sheet is needed initially. Visa, Income proof, passport, police clearance for Philippines and other documents will be needed later. You will get the list of documents at the time of enquiry.

Philippines is a Christian country with over 95% of the population being Christian mostly Roman Catholic.

Is the degree recognized by the World Health Organization and the MCI?

It is present in the list of WHO are recognized by WHO and are recognized by CHED (Commission for Higher education and development). The Degree is recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI as equal to MBBS in India. The Degree is Philippines is recognized as equal to MBBS in UK and MBBS in Europe by the GMC of UK.

How is the Weather?

Philippines has tropical weather.
There are 3 main seasons.
Rains: From June to September. Showers can be frequent and heavy.
Cool: October to February it is cool but temperature rarely drops below 25 degree Celsius.
Summer: From March to May when temperatures can soar.
Overall the climate is perfect for a holiday in paradise and long hours of sun make this a dream destination. In terms of what to pack it is advised that lighter clothing is taken, shorts and beachwear are of course essential although in the rainy season be prepared for rains.

When is Admission usually?

There are two intakes (depending on the university and program) June and November depends on the University and the program for Medical, Premedical. MD or MBBS in Philippines – Medical Admission to the Top Medical College (s) begins in June. Admission to Pre-medical can happen in June or in November each year.

Hostel facility?

On campus accommodation for international students is available on campus.
Hostel rooms have attached bathrooms, with single, double or triple beds.
Both Air-conditioned and non air conditioned rooms are available as per the choice of accommodations.
Students can also choose to stay outside on their own accommodations.

Whether markets are nearby or not?

Market for daily needs is nearby to the campus.
