Eligibility Criteria for MD/MS Admission in VELS Tiruvallur 2026-27
(Eligibility Criteria for (Indian Nationals)
Students who have been allotted a seat through the centralised counselling by the MCC of DGHS, New Delhi must meet the following eligibility conditions:-
- A student must have cleared MBBS Programme with a minimum marks of 50%
- A student shall possess a permanent or provisional MBBS registration certificate from the NMC
- A student must have completed or likely to complete one year of internship on or before 31st July 2026.
- A student must also have Provisional Allotment Letter from DGHS/ mcc.nic.in
Eligibility Conditions for Foreign Medical Graduates
Foreign Medical Graduates include Indian citizens or OCIs with primary qualifications from outside India:-
- Screening Test: Must have qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) (FMGE) as per Screening Test Regulations, 2002.
- Registration & Internship: Registered with the NMC/State Medical Council and completed (or likely to complete) their internship on or before July 31, 2026.
- Entrance: Qualified in NEET-PG 2026 (conducted by NBE).
- Allotment: Must possess the Provisional Allotment Letter from DGHS/mcc.nic.in.

To secure MD/ MS Seat in VELS Medical College and Hospital, admission is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India.
Step 1 - Clear NEET PG Exam in order to secure a seat in postgraduation program of VELS Medical College
Step 2 - Register for MCC NEET PG Counselling on the official website. Complete the application form, pay the prescribed registration fee and security deposit.
Step 3 - Next step post registration is to begin with Choice Filling and Locking Process.
