MADHYA PRADESH NEET UG COUNSELLING 2020
DME – Department of Medical Education Madhya Pradesh is the governing body which conducts counseling for Medical/Dental in MP. There are 13 Government and 7 private medical college, having seats 1649 and 1150 respectively. Students having domicile of MP State are only eligible for Government seats.
The admission in the state medical and dental colleges of MP is administered by:
- Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur
- Peoples University, Bhopal
- Barkatullah University
- Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan University, Bhopal
The counseling is organized for 85% state Govt. seats and 100% private seats. In 2019 there were three rounds of counseling 1st round, 2nd round and mop up round (Spot round or physical round).
Physical verification of document was conducted after allotment of seat in 2019 the college where student will report after allotment, it is going to be the same in 2020.
GET MY UNIVERSITY OBSERVATIONS
As per ‘Get My University’ research we found that student from other states were not allowed to participate in the Round 1 & Round 2. They were only allowed to participate in the mop up round which was conducted online.
Also we found that number of seats in the mop up round was only 2 and both been allotted to NRI category. One seat was in Chirayu Medical College, and another one in Index Medical College.
Our team has a done a comparative analysis and found that allotment of Govt. seat through AIQ was bit difficult as the cut off was way too high, it was still easier to find a seat under state counseling for domicile candidates. There was a minimum 3000 rank difference was there from AIQ to State.
Cut off for Private colleges for GN/OBC/SC category was low in round 1 then round 2, whereas for ST it was higher in round 1 in comparison to round 2
It is our advice to Non MP domicile students, as there are only mop up round in which they can apply, but depending upon 2019 seat availability in mop up round, it will be risky to depend only on MP they must keep some more options in hand. Connect with our team for more detail.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBBS ADMISSION IN MADHYA PRADESH
- The qualifying examination should be passed with minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserve category candidates) in PCB and English subjects.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
- The lower age limit to apply is 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
- The upper age limit is 25 years and 5 years of age relaxation for reserve categories.
- Only candidates who have qualified in NEET 2019 entrance test by achieving minimum 50 percentile for General and 40 Percentile for SC/ST and OBC will be eligible to participate in the MP NEET 2019 counseling.
- MP Domicile candidates can apply for State Govt./Pvt. seats, whereas non domicile are eligible only for Mgt. seats.
- Only MP domicile can apply in round 1 & 2. Non domicile can apply in mop up round.
mbbs COUNSELLING PROCESS OF MADHYA PRADESH
2Choice Filling and Locking for Counselling of MP MBBS – Medical aspirants will now have to enter and lock their choices of course and college for MP NEET counselling 2020.
Under any circumstance, candidates will not be allowed to make changes in the choices entered by them after they are locked for the counselling of MP MBBS.
3Process of MP MBBS 2020 Seat Allotment – The authorities will release the schedule for each round of counselling for MP MBBS. On the basis of choices filled, availability of seats, fulfilment of eligibility and other factors candidates will be allotted seats in MP MBBS 2020 counselling.
4Result for DME MP UG 2020 – On the completion of the seat allotment process for MP MBBS counselling 2020 the authorities will publish the result of the same in online mode in the form of PDF. The MP NEET 2020 seat allotment for each round will be published separately.
5Reporting at Allotted College – The final step of MP MBBS 2020 counselling is reporting of candidates at the allotted college.
