HARYANA NEET CUT OFF 2020

The Department of Medical Education & Research, Haryana (“DMER”) is the governing body which conducts counseling for the Medical and Dental program in Haryana. Haryana MBBS Cut off releases by the “DMER” after every round of counseling. It is responsible to release cut off for 85% Government and 100% Private Medical & Dental seats, whereas cut off for 15% Government also called as All India Quota (AIQ) and Deemed will be declared by the MCC.

Cut off is the last rank at which a last seat has been allotted in a particular college, Student should target cut off rank instead of cut off score, as it doesn’t remain same, it keeps changing year by year.

A NEET qualified students can register themselves on www.dmerharyana.org after registering they will have to do the choice filling, upon successful choice filling Haryana “DMER” releases allotment and cut off for the respective colleges and categories.

SALIENT FEATURES OF HARYANA COUNSELING

Rupees 10 Lacs Bond is applicable in Government Medical College
You can take a free exit in Round 1 but not in Round 2.
Security deposit is applicable in Round 2.
Security deposit will get adjusted against fee if seat allotted and admission taken.
In case of no allotment security deposit will be refunded after completion of all the rounds of counseling.
Security deposit will be forfeited if not reported to the college in Round 2
Document verification will be done after allotment of seat.
Choice locking is mandatory in every round without which student will not be considered for the allotment
On the spot partial fee will be collected during mop up round.
Fresh registration will open before every round of counseling.

Trend Analysis

If we look into NEET cut off in Haryana 2020, it clearly shows that for private seats cut off was quite high in the Round 1, but kept coming down as it progress to further rounds of. One of the major reasons was free exit in round 1, due to this students who were trying for a better seat in an another State also participated and blocked seat. Due to the allotment somewhere else they had surrendered such seats by taking a free exit.

Due to the implementation of 7 years service bond in the Government colleges, it had a clear impact on Haryana NEET 2020 cut off for the Government seat. It has come down in comparison to 2019.

We have observed large number of seats got surrendered in Round 1 and Round 2 in the Haryana NEET UG 2020 counseling. This resulted into decline in the cut off in every round. There was a huge demand for the seat among lower marks students, the reason behind this was the overall package falling within the budget of many who were also looking for options in Deemed and for those who didn’t get a seat in Uttar Pradesh counseling. Another reason was its proximity to Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

We were surprised to see students with 570 and above opted Private seat, whereas they could have got a top rated college within the same budget, this shows that there is a lack of knowledge and right information due to which such students had compromised with their good alternative choices. Students can avoid such mistakes by taking right guidance.
