P.A. Sangma International Medical College & Hospital (PIMC) is one of the newly established private medical colleges. It was inaugurated in 2024 to improve the quality of MBBS education in Meghalaya. It is located in Shillong, Meghalaya. It is recognised by NMC and affiliated with North Eastern Hill University.
P.A. Sangma International Medical College & Hospital’s infrastructure includes advanced lecture halls, a variety of labs, digital research libraries and separate housing facilities for boys and girls. There is also an attached multi-speciality teaching hospital that helps the medical student during their practice and will provide much of the clinical expertise they will utilise during their MBBS programs in Meghalaya in areas of Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology and all other major areas of study.
PIMC’s MBBS program has a length of 5.5 years (4.5 years (academic portion), with 1 year of compulsory internship). The students are admitted to the program based on their NEET-UG scores and then by counselling.
