MIMSR was established in 1990, and is affiliated with the prestigious Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and is recognized by the esteemed Medical Council of India. Situated in Latur, the college is located on Ambajogai Road, about 7 km from the Latur railway station and 10 km from the Latur bus stand.

Seat details of Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences & Research

Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (MIMSR) offers 150 seats for the MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course. The admissions to these seats are done through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

85% of seats are for candidates who are residents of Maharashtra. Out of the remaining 25%, 15% are for students who are residing outside Maharashtra and the remaining are for students from Latur.
