The medical academy known as K.S. Hegde Medical Academy initiated operations in 1999 until it joined Nitte Deemed to be University as its constituent college in 2009. The medical institution carries its name from Late Justice K. S. Hegde, who served as Supreme Court Justice and Lok Sabha Speaker.
The Institution works to achieve medical school recognition through academic standard improvement while maintaining health services excellence together with social responsibility development among students.
