Dr. B.S. Kushwah Institute of Medical Sciences, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh

Dr. B.S. Kushwah Institute of Medical Sciences (BSKIMS) is a private medical college located close to Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is licensed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is affiliated to a state medical university in Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, the medical degree grants national education standards. 

BSKIMS has an MBBS program, with an annual intake of 150 students. The program requires five and a half years to complete, including four and a half years of academic study and a one-year internship that is mandatory. BSKIMS’s admission to the program is based on NEET-UG scores and then students are counseled using the state of Uttar Pradesh counselling system. Candidates must have completed their higher secondary education with physics, chemistry, and biology, and have passed the NEET examination to be eligible.

BSKIMS’s infrastructure has modern lecture labs, along with a central library and student academic facilities. The campus is also located adjacent to the multi-specialty teaching hospital; this gives students the experience of clinical exposure. Separate hostels have been established on the campus, and there are separate mess facilities.

BSKIMS’s tuition fees will fluctuate based on the type of seat awarded; government quota seats tend to be less expensive than private or NRI seats.  

BSKIMS provides a recognized MBBS course with developing facilities and clinical training throughout attachment to the hospital's clinical environment.
