UTTARAKHAND NEET UG COUNSELLING 2020
HNBUMU – Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University is the Governing body which conducts Medical/Dental counseling for 85% Government seats and 100% Private seats.
After qualifying NEET UG, students are eligible to participate in the State counseling process. There are 3 Government medical colleges consisting of 425 seats and 2 Private Medical College offering 300 seats. Out of 425 Government seat, 64 seats (15%) got allotted through AIQ (All India Quota through MCC) and remaining 361 seats (85%) got allotted through state counseling process.
Uttarakhand domicile students were eligible to participate in Government and Private Seat allotment process, whereas non-domicile students were only eligible to participate in the allotment of private seats under management quota.
There were 3 rounds of counseling, round 1 and 2 was conducted online and Mop up round was conducted offline.
GET MY UNIVERSITY OBSERVATIONS
As per “Get My University” studies, we found that cut off for Government Medical College was comparatively lower than other states. Cut off for Private was very low but fee structure was on the higher side. Among Private Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun is one of the oldest among all the medical College in the State.
The last seat allotment in Round 1 for a general category was done at the rank of 26162 in Doon Medical College, Dehradun through State counseling and same college was done at the rank of 4495 through AIQ (All India Quota)
It is our advice for Uttarakhand students, to get a Government seat they must apply in the state counseling process. It was easier to get a Government seat through state as compared to AIQ (All India Quota)

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBBS ADMISSION IN uttarakhand
- The qualifying examination should be passed with minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserve category candidates) in PCB and English subjects.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
- The lower age limit to apply is 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
- The upper age limit is 25 years and 5 years of age relaxation for reserve categories.
- Only candidates who have qualified in NEET 2019 entrance test by achieving minimum 50 percentile for General and 40 Percentile for SC/ST will be eligible to participate in the Uttarakhand NEET 2019 counseling.
- Uttarakhand Domicile candidates can only apply for State Government and Private seat.
- Non domicile are eligible to apply for Private Seats under Management Quota.
