Tamil Nadu is an open State, where students from other State can also participate in the Tamil Nadu NEET UG counseling process. As the counseling process is completely offline starting from round 1, it becomes difficult for the Students to take part in the counseling process. Most of the Students like to participate in 3-4 States before arriving to a college.
Another difficult scenario of Tamil Nadu is its mandatory appearance to become eligible for remaining rounds of counseling. You cannot skip and go to another round.
In Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2020 23707 (excluding Management quota) students had applied for 3031 Government Medical seat in the State. This shows 1:8 ratio of seat versus participant. This reflects a very high completion level in the State for a Government Medical seat.
