CHHATTISGARH NEET UG COUNSELLING 2020
CGDME – Chhattisgarh Director of Medical Education is the governing body which conducts counseling for Medical/Dental in Chhattisgarh. There are 5 Government and 2 Private medical college, having seats 570 and 300 respectively. The admission in the state medical and dental colleges of MP is administered Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University, Raipur
The counseling was organized for 85% state Govt. seats and 100% private seats. There were three rounds of counseling, 1st round, 2nd round and mop up round (Spot round or physical round).
Students having domicile of Chhattisgarh State are only eligible for Govt. seats.
Physical verification of document was conducted after allotment of seat in 2019, It is the allotted college where they need to report and verify, it is going to be the same in 2020.
GET MY UNIVERSITY OBSERVATIONS
As per ‘Get My University’ observation in 2019 Chhattisgarh has not received many applications and was less in demand among top rankers, this has helped many students who have lesser rank to get seat there.
Chhattisgarh has just 2 Private Medical College, the cut off was still well within the reach of students, specifically in the mop up round. 34 seats were there for the mop up round.
The last rank at which a general category student got the seat was 78738 in Raipur Institute of Medical Science.
Cut off for Private colleges for GN/OBC/SC category was low in round 1 then round 2, whereas for ST it was higher in round 1 in comparison to round 2
It is our advice to students to take proper guidance from an expert. Options are always there but prompt decision making is what needed.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBBS ADMISSION IN CHHATTISGARH
- The qualifying examination should be passed with minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserve category candidates) in PCB & English subjects.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
- The lower age limit to apply is 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
- The upper age limit is 25 years and 5 years of age relaxation for reserve categories.
- Only candidates who have qualified in NEET 2019 entrance test by achieving minimum 50 percentile for General and 40 Percentile for SC/ST and OBC will be eligible to participate in the Up NEET 2019 counseling.
- Chhattisgarh Domicile candidates can apply for State Govt./Pvt. seats, whereas non domicile are eligible only for Pvt. Seats under Management quota.
mbbs COUNSELLING PROCESS OF CHATTISGARH
2Online registration opens only once before 1st round of counseling.
3Candidates can then login to their account and exercise the choice filling.
4Eligible candidates list cum merit list will be displayed
5Based on the candidate’s rank, institute cutoff ranks, candidate’s preference, priority, etc., a seat may be allocated to the candidate.
6Candidates can accept the seat and verify their document & report to the respective college for admissions. Or they can opt for upgradation in Round 2
7Subsequent rounds of seat allotment will be conducted as per schedule and candidates can proceed to participate in the further counseling rounds.
8Round 1 and 2 will be conducted online. Mop up round will conducted offline.
