BIHAR NEET MBBS Counselling

Bihar NEET MBBS Counselling for Medical & Dental program is being conducted by The “BIHAR COMBINED ENTRANCE COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION BOARD” commonly known as “BCECE”. BIHAR NEET MBBS Counselling 2021 will be conducted for the 85% Government & 100% Private Medical & Dental seats. There are 10 Government and 6 Private Medical College in Bihar which offers 1875 MBBS seat.

There are 3 rounds of counseling process which includes “Round 1”, “Round 2” both getting conducted online and the third round is “Mopup” round also called as spot round or physical round, which is conducted offline. If seats are vacant after mop BIHAR then college round will be conducted, also known as “Stray round or College level Spot Round”

To participate in the BIHAR NEET MBBS Counselling for MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.V.Sc & A.H counseling process, students have to qualify NEET exam and then register themselves by login to its official website www.bceceadmissions.nic.in by paying Rs 1200 for General/BC/EBC and Rs 600 for SC/ST/DQ or as declared by the authority as and when counseling is about to commence.

SALIENT FEATURES OF BIHAR NEET COUNSELLING

Free exit is allowed in Round 1.
Application form opens in Round 1 and Mop up.
There is no fresh registration in Round 2.
Document verification will be done physically after the allotment of seat.
Choice locking is mandatory in every round without which student will not be considered at the time of allotment
Students need to carry Rs 12 Lacs DD for MBBS & 50000 for BDS to participate in the MOP up round.
33% seats are reserved for Female candidates.
If NRI seats remained vacant during MOP up round, such seats will be converted to Private seats.

Eligibility Criteria OF BIHAR NEET COUSELLING

Students must qualify NEET.
Must be Indian Citizen to claim seat under Govt./Private/Management.
Foreign National can also apply for seats under NRI/Other Quota.
Non-Domicile can apply for B category seat in Private Medical Colleges.
Security guards and security services are provided for students’ accommodation services.
Students must have passed 12th or equivalent exams.
Domicile candidates are eligible for all seats.

Government seat – Seat offered in the Government Medical/Dental colleges in Bihar. (Only Domicile candidate can apply)

Private seat – Seat offered in the Private Medical/Dental colleges in Bihar (Both domicile and non-domicile can apply)

Muslim Minority seat – These seats are reserved in the Muslim Minority Private Medical/Dental Colleges for the Muslim Minority students.

Sikh Minority seat – These seats are reserved in the Sikh Minority Private Medical Colleges for the Sikh Minority students.

Steps Involved in the Counseling Process

Register online on www.bceceadmissions.nic.in by paying Rs 1200 for UR/BC/EBC and Rs 600 for SC/ST/DQ your login id and password will be created.
Login using your ID and password, take print out of your online application.
Merit list will be published.
Fill your choices online.
Don’t forget to Lock your choices (System won’t do it automatically)
Final result will be declared
Report to Nodal centre with DD of Tuition fee.
You can either stay with your allotted college or else can go for the up-gradation of college in Round 2.
Those who have registered in Round 1 need not register again in Round 2.
For Mop up everyone has to apply including previously applied students who did not get a seat.

Choice after Allotment of Seat

Option 1 – If you are satisfied with your allotment, you can report at the Nodal centre and further to your allotted college.
Option 2 – You are satisfied but willing to go for up-gradation in next round by retaining your seat, you can do fresh choice filling in Round 2.
Option 3 – If you are not satisfied with your allotted college and willing to participate in next round, then you will have to login and submit the request online, otherwise you will not be considered for the allotment in round 2.

If we look into colleges like Katihar Medical college, Mata Gujri Medical College, Narayana Medical College are performing well and growing rapidly in all the areas.

NEET 2020 cut off for Government College was bit higher than 2019. In 2020 Bihar NEET UG counseling there were 10310 students had applied for 2247 MBBS & BDS seat. Average 4 students were competing for a seat.

It was still easier to get a seat in a Private Medical College of Bihar in the Mop up round compared to round 1. We would like to advise to our Medical Aspirant that every state has its own pros and cons, if you will verify all the details then you still hold a chance of getting a seat at low cost. For Students in the score range of 450 to 500 and budget range of 55-60 Lacs, Bihar would be a good option if you don’t get a good option somewhere else.
