ACPUGMEC – Admission Committe for Professsional Under Graduate / Post Graduate Medical Education Courses, Govt of Gujarat is the Governing body which conducts NEET UG Medical/Dental counseling in the state of Gujarat. 1400
There are 6 Government Medical College, 11 Self-Financed Government Medical College and 11 Private Medical College in Gujarat. In 6 Government there are 1400 seats, out of which 15% i.e. 210 seats goes to AIQ (All India Quota) and remaining 85% 1190 seats goes to state for state Medical counseling. In 11 Self-financed colleges, there are 1912 seats all to be filled by state and in 11 Private Medical Colleges, there are 1650 seats, all to be filled by State.
There were three rounds of counseling in 2019, Round 1, Round 2 was conducted online, and Mop up round was conducted offline.
GET MY UNIVERSITY OBSERVATIONS
As per “Get My University” observation, Gujarat is a closed state not allowing other state students to participate in the counseling process, the entire quota of seat is available for its domicile candidates. This makes it easy for the student to get a seat even if rank is low. Also state has got highest number of self-financed Government Medical College, which offers 1912 seats at an annual tuition fees range of INR 3Lacs to 7.5Lacs, this has created more opportunity for students not securing high rank.
It was very easy to get a Government seat in the state counseling compared to getting a seat through MCC under AIQ. The last seat offered in a Government college for a General category in AIQ was at 4068 Rank in MP Shah Medical College, whereas in the state counseling the last seat allotted at a Rank of 30572 in Government Medical College, Bhavnagar.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBBS ADMISSION IN GUJARAT
- The qualifying examination should be passed with minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserve category candidates) in PCB and English subjects.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
- The lower age limit to apply is 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
- The upper age limit is 25 years and 5 years of age relaxation for reserve categories.
- Only candidates who have qualified in NEET 2019 entrance test by achieving minimum 50 percentile for General and 40 Percentile for SC/ST will be eligible to participate in the Gujarat NEET 2019 counseling.
- Gujarat Domicile candidates can only apply for State Govt./Pvt. Seats.
mbbs COUNSELLING PROCESS OF gujarat
- Candidates have to go to the Authorized Axis bank branch in Gujarat to get a PIN of application form by paying a fee of INR 200 in cash.
- PIN for online registration is available from the branches of Axis Bank approved by the authority during bank hours.

3Choice Filling
- Candidates are required to fill their preferences of college. Put your highest preference on top.
4Document Verification
- Candidates need to verify their documents at the help center.
5Seat Allotment or Publication of Result
- Allotment of seat will be published on the official website.
6Reporting
- Those who have got the allotment need to pay the fees and confirm their seats.
- They can also go for the updgradation of college in round 2
- They can surrender and go for the fresh allotment in Round 2
- Willingness to participate in Mop Up round has to be confirmed by the candidate online.
