Punjab NEET UG 2024 Round 2 Counselling Schedule Out

The schedule for Round 2 of Punjab NEET UG 2024 counselling has been officially released. This round offers another chance for aspiring MBBS and BDS candidates to secure a seat in medical and dental colleges across Punjab. Students who were not satisfied with their seat allocation in the first round or who were not allotted any seat can now participate in the second round.

Display of tentative vacancy position of seats for 2nd Round of counselling 6th September 2024
Fresh Online Registration/application and deposition of application and security deposit for fresh applicants along with fee of Rs. 5900/- (Rs. 2950/- for SC candidates) including 18% GST through university payment portal. 7th Sept to 10th Sept 2024

Last date for submitting willingness along with security deposit for 2nd round of counselling by all the candidates (already registered candidates and fresh applicants). 
The amount of security to be deposited for submitting willingness will be as under

  • For Government colleges - Rs. 10000/- (5000/- for SC/BC) 
  • For both Govt. & Private Colleges – Rs. 2,00,000/- 
  • For Private Colleges – Rs. 2,00,000/-
7th Sept to 10th Sept 2024
Last date of correction/editing in online filled application form. Note: Since, fresh applications are invited for 2nd round of online counseling under NEET UG 2024 from 07.09.2024, hence already registered candidates of 1st round counseling (if any) and fresh registered candidate who intends to edit any Category/Minority Quota/other particulars will give request/application personally in the Admission Branch, BFUHS on 11.09.2024(upto 04:00 PM) along with relevant proof for consideration in 2nd round of online counseling as last chance.  11th September 2024 (upto 04:00 PM)
Last date for submitting admission application form for NRI quota (Application form for getting Eligibility certificate and admission application form for NRI candidates is separately available on University website.) 10th September 2024
Candidates applying under the Sikh or Christian Minority Quota must report to SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences, Amritsar, or Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, for minority status verification. Those verified during the 1st round do not need to report again. Candidates who registered under the Minority Quota in the 1st round but did not verify their status can do so before the 2nd round of counselling. 9th Sept 2024 to 10th Sept 2024
Display of Provisional Merit List of candidates who will submit willingness to participate in 2nd round of online counseling 12th September 2024
Candidates who will submit willingness for 2nd Round including NRI candidates will fill/submit the online choices/ preferences of course/college/quota/category 12th Sept to 15th Sept 2024
Processing of seat allotment 16th Sept to 17th Sept 2024
Display of provisional allotment / Result 18th Sept 2024
The last date/time of submission of objections to provisional allotment (if any) by the NEET UG aspirants 19th Sept 2024 (Up to 04:00 PM)
Change in the Provisional allotment after considering objections, the same will be displayed on the University website 20th Sept 2024
Provisionally selected candidates must pay the remaining six-month fee (after deducting the security deposit) via the university payment gateway and report to the allotted college for joining. 21st Sept 2024 to 26th Sept 2024

Who are eligible for Punjab NEET UG Round 2 Allotment?

Students who are eligible for Round 2 of Punjab NEET UG 2024 Allotment are from one of the following groups :-

Group 1 - Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 1st Round of Punjab NEET UG Counselling.

Group 2 - Registered candidates who have secured seat & whose 1st round of allotted seat got cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission will be considered for allotment of seat in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to availability of seat in respective category.

Group 3 - Candidates who have reported at allotted institute during 1st round of allotment and submitted willingness for second round up-gradation as Yes.

Group 4 - Candidates who have been allotted a seat during 1st round but Not Joined.

Group 5 - Candidates who have resigned in online mode within the time frame from the allotted seat of first round at college.

Who are not eligible for Punjab NEET UG Round 2 Allotment 2024?

Here is the list of students who are not considered eligible for Punjab NEET UG Round 2 Counselling

  • Candidate who has become non-eligible due to having inadequate documents as per Eligibility Criteria as per Punjab Govt. notification/MCC- UG
  • Who have not registered in Round 1 or Round 2.

Once the applicant join the 2nd round seat, he/she will allowed to leave/resign the seat within stipulated period but the security deposit will be forfeited.

Yes, the candidate can upgrade the Round 2 allotted seat during Round 3 but once, the candidate will join the upgraded seat in Round 3, he/she cannot resign/leave the seat.
