Eligibility Criteria for Admission in AFMC 2024
Who is not eligible to apply in AFMC?
A) Candidates who have passed in Domestic Science, Domestic Arithmetic, and Lower Math separately or in combination with other subjects like General Science / Social studies in High School / Higher Secondary (Multipurpose) or equivalent examination.
B) Candidates who have passed only Pre-University / Pre-Degree (one-year course) or Pre-Professional in Agriculture / Veterinary / Dental Examination.
C) Candidates who have passed the Pre-professional or equivalent qualifying examination as a Private candidate or from Open schools.
D) Candidates who have secured the requisite percentage but in subsequent attempts or compartment examination.

AFMC Pune Admission Process

Step 1 – Register online on mcc.nic.in
Candidates who meet the AFMC eligibility requirements and would like to enroll in the MBBS program, must register and apply for the school on the DGHS website at https://mcc.nic.in/ within the designated registration window
Step 2 – Shortlisted Candidate are called for Screening
The DGHS will share a list of applicants for AFMC, Pune, following the registration deadline. The website will show the NEET Roll No. of the applicants who have been selected based on merit for screening at AFMC, Pune.
During the first round,1880 students called for screening (1490 boys and 390 seats for Girls). Out of the total candidate who got shortlisted, the cut off marks were – 648 for girls and 622 for boys.
Out of 145 - 101 Boys and 26 Girls Candidates joined in R1. So, for the remaining 14 Boys seats and 4 Girl seats, the waitlisted candidates are called upon for the allotment process.
Step 3 - Test of English Language, Comprehension login and reasoning (TOELR), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT)
The candidates who have been shortlisted will be contacted for the screening process, which will include an interview, a medical examination at AFMC, Pune, the Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), and the Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic, and Reasoning (ToELR).
The English Language Comprehension, Logic, and Reasoning Test (ToELR) will be administered at AFMC, Pune, as a computer-based test (CBT) with 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) at 2.0 marks apiece, for a total of 80 marks. Every wrong answer will result in a 0.5 deduction from the final score. You have 30 minutes to respond to these 40 questions. The final written exam score will be calculated by adding the ToELR marks to the NEET score.
Step 4 – Interview
After some of the essential test, interview will be held consisting of 50 marks. The candidates will be interviewed by a panel of judges regarding their personalities, interests, hobbies, and general awareness and expertise in addition to the key subjects. Due weightage will be given to candidates for participation in NCC/Sports at various levels and for wards of Officers/JCOs/ORs who are serving/Ex Serviceman/Killed in action. The final merit will be based on the final score thus obtained (Written examination score + Interview marks + ToELR). Psychological Assessment Test (PAT) is a qualifying examination and PAT score will not be considered for preparing final merit list.
Step 5 – Physical Fitness Test
Every applicant will undergo a medical examination in accordance with the norms and requirements set forth by the Armed Forces. The related details are provided in Paragraphs 43 to 46. The candidates found medically unsuitable by the AFMC Medical Board will not be included in the final admissions merit list.
